- A series of mysteries set in the cozy villages of Midsomer County. Things that go bump in the night: Grisly murders rock the village of Fletcher's Cross, casting suspicion on local spiritualists. Sauce for the goose: After a visitor dies while touring Plummer's relish factory, Barnaby and Scott investigate the local food wars. Midsomer rhapsody: When a long-dead local composer is linked to a series of odd events, that link leads to murder
